Newcastle United have discussed a loan move for Everton winger Nikola Vlašić, according to MailOnline.
The 20-year old Croatia international joined the Toffees last summer from Hajduk Split in his native country, just weeks after playing against the Blues for Hajduk in the Europa League qualifying stage.
Signing for around £10million, a record sale for Hajduk, Vlašić played 12 times for Everton in the Premier League, the majority of which were under manager Ronald Koeman before he fell out of favour once the Dutchman was relieved of his duties.

According to MailOnline, Rafa Benitez is interested in bringing the right-sided man to St James’ Park this summer on a short-term deal, with departures still likely before the transfer window closes.
Despite having already signed Kenedy on a season-long loan from Chelsea, Newcastle could be set to lose Matt Ritchie, with Stoke interested in snapping up the Scotland international.
If that deal goes through, Vlašić would be seen as solid replacement for the Magpies until they can bring in a long-term replacement.
