Everton will reportedly be rivalled by Lyon in their pursuit of Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.
According to a report from French news outlet RMC Sport, as cited by Inside Futbol, the Ligue 1 giants are the latest club to express an interest in signing Mina from Barca this summer.
Following his exploits at the World Cup with Colombia, the promising centre-back is hot property heading into next season, with a host of clubs across Europe keen to secure his signature.
Mina has been heavily linked with a move to the Premier League in recent weeks and it’s believed that Everton are at the front of the queue after initiating contact with the player’s agent.
However, the Toffees will not have a clear run at signing Mina from Barcelona, it seems, with Lyon attempting to lure the Colombian to the club.
After failing to establish himself as a first-team player for Barcelona, the Catalan giants appear to be prepared to cash in on Mina, who they signed from Palmeiras earlier on this year.
