Everton Football Club have officially completed the signing of Lucas Digne from Barcelona.

The Toffees have been chasing the signature of Digne for some weeks now and they have finally secured the Frenchman, with the defender having signed a long-term contract at Goodison Park.
Digne generally acted as a deputy to Jordi Alba during his tenure with the La Liga giants but will be hoping for a role in Marco Silva’s first-team following his arrival from Barcelona.
The latter were hopeful of keeping hold of the player, but have allowed him to move on in order to play on a regular basis.
Everton have been making use of Leighton Baines on the left-hand side of defence for several seasons now. However, with the defender now 33-years-old, the club have taken the decision to recruit fresh blood in Baines’ position.
