Nikola Vlašić may have inexplicably caused tension with manager Marco Silva, leading to his potential move away from Everton this summer, according to reports from Croatia.
The 20-year winger was part of a quartet of players instructed to train apart from the Toffees’ first-team this week, as reported yesterday, with it expected that Silva had decided that their futures’ lie elsewhere.
According to Croatian outlet 24Sata, as reported on by Sport Witness, Vlašić may have unintentionally provoked his exclusion.
24Sata, who ran a feature today that was titled ‘SOS Vlašić’, claim that the Croatia international had hoped to kick on with the club this season.

Having joined last summer in a deal worth £10million from Hajduk Split, Vlašić enjoyed mixed periods, sometimes finding himself in the team and performing well, while also spending periods outside of the match-day squad entirely.
However, with Silva joining in the summer, Vlašić was keen to impress, but opportunities in pre-season haven’t worked out as well as the winger had hoped.
24Sata claim that when Vlašić realised he would not fit into Silva’s immediate plans for the upcoming season, the Croatian asked if he could leave on loan so he could get consistent game time – an action that ‘overcomplicated the situation’.

The outlet goes on to claim that, via sources close to the player himself, Vlašić’s situation has gotten worse since his request, and now he finds himself seperate from the rest of Everton’s squad – a decision that was said to have ‘surprised’ Vlašić.
However, Everton don’t want to sell, and have no intention of including any clause to make the deal permanent in any prospective loan move.
