Cuco Martina has joined Championship side Stoke City on a season-long loan.
Numerous clubs had been reported as having interest in the 27-year-old, but the Potters emerged as favourites yesterday and today confirmed the signing of Martina.

The right-back joined Everton last summer following his release from Southampton, in a move that saw him reunited with then-manager Ronald Koeman.
Making 27 appearances for the Toffees last season, the defender has not been included in new boss Marco Silva’s plans, and had been training away from the first team.
Martina joins a Stoke team that were in serious need of defensive recruitment, and manager Gary Rowett has added a full-back with 45 Premier League appearances under his belt.
In addition to his club exploits, Martina has captained the Dutch territory of Curacao in recent years.
