Everton star Seamus Coleman has been discussing how happy he is to be working under the ‘demanding’ Marco Silva.
Speaking to reporters after Everton’s 2-1 win against Southampton on Saturday afternoon, as quoted by BT Sport, Coleman discussed the influence of Silva following his arrival at the club this summer.
He is very dedicated to his job – you can see that after two or three days, the work he puts in at every level. You have to play well to stay in the team because he will have no qualms about changing it.
Since the Portuguese was appointed by the Toffees, they have picked up four points from a possible six following a draw at Wolves and a recent win at home to Saints.

Coleman has been a mainstay in the Everton line-up over the course of many years and looks set to continue in a similar vein under the stewardship of Silva.
He has that hard edge, definitely, but from what I have seen he is very approachable and a great man but with all these great managers he won’t shy away from making decisions when he needs to.
The Republic of Ireland international also alluded to his desire to finally get his hands on some silverware with the Toffees.
Coleman highlighted Silva’s desire to succeed at Goodison Park and indicated that he feels as though the new boss can be the man to help Everton win trophies in the near future.
He is very demanding, but that is what you want from your manager. I have said many times that I want to win stuff at this club. Ten years I have been here now and I have not really been close to winning a cup so I want demanding managers, and he most certainly is that.
