Everton midfielder James McCarthy is ready to return to training this month as he continues to recover from a broken leg.
BT Sport, who cite claims from the Liverpool Echo, report that Marco Silva is confident that the player will be back in training soon after a clash with West Brom’s Salomon Rondon last season.
He is progressing well. We expect in the next weeks to start, slow-by-slow and step-by-step, working with the team.

Rondon, who was visibly upset by the incident, struck the back of McCarthy’s leg in the back in January and the injury has left the midfielder out of action since.
McCarthy’s return will be a welcomed boost for Everton boss Marco Silva, who has seen injuries and suspensions pile up in the early stages of the new season.
The midfielder will be hoping to get some minutes under his belt as soon as possible as he looks to make a mark under the new manager.
