Senegal manager Aliou Cisse has delivered an update on the condition of Everton midfielder Idrissa Gueye as he continues to nurse a knee problem.
Despite being sidelined for Everton’s 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon, Gueye was given the call to join up with the Senegal squad ahead of their upcoming fixture against Madagascar on Sunday.
However, it seems the former Aston Villa star is struggling to shake off the knee injury that ruled him out of the Toffees’ home draw with Huddersfield, with Cisse confirming that his availability for the clash against Madagascar is “uncertain”.

As quoted by Senegal7, Cisse revealed the current condition of his side’s star central midfielder.
Gana is uncertain, he has a sore knee. We will go over it with the doctor but he is uncertain for the match.
Gueye has been an important player for Marco Silva following his arrival at Goodison Park this summer. With Everton contesting with plenty of ongoing injury worries, the manager will undoubtedly be hoping that the midfielder can return from international duty without further damage sustained.
