Everton have received a boost ahead of their match against Arsenal this weekend after it was confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan is doubtful to feature against the Toffees.
The Armenian playmaker picked up an ankle injury during the Gunners’ Europa League victory over Vorskla Poltava at the Emirates.
The club confirmed on the official website that Mkhitaryan is currently being assessed to determine his availability for Sunday’s encounter with Everton.

Marko Silva has his own injury woes to worry about but the absence of Mkhitaryan is a welcome boost for the Toffees, especially as he is beginning to form a good partnership with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
Mkhitaryan has featured in all six of Arsenal’s games this season and whilst the Gunners do have cover for him, manager Unai Emery will be hoping that he is fit.
Everton come into the game after a 3-1 home loss to West Ham, so they will be keen to make up for that poor result and as such, Arsenal will need to be at their best to get a win.
