After putting pen to paper on a new long-term deal at Everton, Jordan Pickford has insisted that he didn’t give any consideration to a summer exit from the club.
The England shot-stopper was among the favourites to replace Thibaut Courtois when it became clear that he would be leaving for Real Madrid.
Chelsea are said to be huge admirers of Pickford but were always going to face a battle to land him given he had only recently joined Everton in a big-money deal.

Speaking at a recent press conference, as reported by ESPN, Pickford explained that he could not afford to let any speculation get to him after an impressive World Cup in Russia.
You see it all over on your Twitter or Sky Sports, you know what I mean? I don’t let it affect my performances. I just knuckled down and knew I had a contract with Everton.
At any time, I didn’t think anything other. I just worked hard when I was away with England and, even with the new manager coming in, it was all about England at the time. I came back here and it was all about getting back to work with Everton.
Pickford has signed a six-year contract at Goodison Park and will be keen to continue his progression on Merseyside in the near future.
