Everton’s good relationship with the agent of Eder Militao has seen them emerge as favourites to sign the player.
Portuguese outlet Record report that Barcelona are also interested in the versatile Brazilian defender, but Everton currently lead the way.
It is believed that the club’s rapport could help in the pursuit, with the likes of Richarlison and Bernard already at the club.
Militao was heavily linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs over the summer but opted to make the move from Sao Paulo to Porto.
Despite only recently joining the Portuguese side, he is already being tipped to move on.
Militao can play across the back four, as a right-back or a central defender and Marco Silva is reportedly keen to bring him to Merseyside.
The club have already had scouts watching the youngster on two occasions this season as they step up their interest in the player.
