Everton manager Marco Silva has heaped plenty of praise on the Toffees’ fans for their support for his team this season.
Silva has been impressed with the manner that the fans have kept supporting the players, despite certain results not going their way in recent months.
The Merseyside club fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat against Manchester United at Old Trafford which broke their three-match winning streak, but Silva was proud of the way the supporters reacted.

As quoted on the Liverpool Echo, he said:
We are able to compete in this type of game and that is really important for us. It shows that we are growing as a team. The players are believing in the messages that we are giving to them. They are working hard in the week to perform at the level that we saw against Manchester United.
You could see the fans giving them an ovation at the end of the match and that reflects that. The fans were unhappy at the result, like us, but they kept believing in us and for sure we will be stronger again next week.
Silva’s side had plenty of chances to snatch a draw against United but some poor finishing cost them at least one point.
Everton host Brighton on Saturday afternoon and will be looking to reward their fans with a victory.
