Everton are in the race to sign Sunderland youngster Josh Maja, according to a report from the Northern Echo.
It’s claimed that the Toffees are the latest top-flight side to have been credited with an interest in recruiting the 19-year-old, who has been performing well in League One this season.
The youngster has found the net on 11 occasions in all competitions so far this term after making 16 starts for Sunderland.
Black Cats manager Jack Ross addressed the forward’s current situation at the Stadium of Light as he looked ahead to his side’s upcoming League One clash against Walsall on Saturday.

The Scotsman insisted that no offers have been submitted despite reported interest in Maja from Premier League clubs. The Sunderland boss said:
There have been no concrete offers at this stage. He gets a bit of stick from the players and from my staff for some of the things that appear (in the media). I don’t think it has an impact on Josh because I don’t think he is that kind of personality.
Everton are not alone in their apparent interest in signing the striker. Manchester City, Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton have all also been touted as potential destinations for Maja in recent weeks.
