Everton are still said to be pondering a move to sign Aaron Ramsey on a free transfer from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
According to reports from the Daily Mirror, as cited on TEAMtalk, the Toffees are waiting for the Gunners to make a final decision before lodging an approach.
Ramsey is set to leave the London club either in January or at the end of the season after failing to agree a new contract at the Emirates.
A host of clubs, including Everton, have been linked with moves to sign the player.
With no transfer fee involved, competition will be fierce in the race to secure the Welshman’s services.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest.
Reports in Germany have previously claimed that a deal was agreed to move the Bundesliga champions, but those claims have since been rebuffed by Bayern Munich.
