Everton starlet Kieran Dowell is interesting recently relegated side Huddersfield Town as they bid to bounce straight back into the Premier League, but would it be a good move for the youngster?
The 21-year old midfielder spent the last six-months in the Championship with Sheffield United, joining the club in January and helping the Blades return to the top flight for the first time since 2007.
Now the Terriers are targeting the attacking midfielder, according to the Liverpool Echo, while Sheffield United are also interested in bringing him back to Bramall Lane.
Dowell’s long-term future at Everton is an interesting dilemma, because the club clearly regard the Ormskirk-born man as a big star for the future.

However, following back to back seasons in the Championship with Nottingham Forest and United, Dowell needs to make the step up if he is to eventually break into Everton’s first-team.
Dowell had been one of the names bandied about online when speculation came out suggesting the Toffees were looking to sell a host of players this summer, and I’m not a fan of him being shipped off permanently just yet.
Dowell would definitely benefit from another loan spell, but it would be more beneficial for him to remain in the Premier League. If the Blades would be willing to take Dowell on another season-long loan, Everton should move to make that happen.
Otherwise, I would rather Dowell remain at Goodison Park and learn among the Everton senior squad than dropping down to the Championship once again.
