According to the Burnley Express, cited by the Metro, the Toffees, along with Premier League giants Manchester City and Arsenal, are all tracking the teenager ahead of a potential summer move.

The wide man broke through into the first team at Turf Moor last season, making 26 appearances in all competitions undr Sean Dyche.

McNeil scored three times in his first full season with the Clarets, impressing many with his direct approach and ability to beat a man.

The England Under-20 international was one of Burnley’s standout performers in the Premier League and could prove to be an ideal replacement for the ageing Theo Walcott.

There’s no doubting the 19-year-old would be an excellent signing by the Toffees, however, with both the Gunners and the Citizens keen on the winger, Marco Silva may well miss out on McNeil’s services.

Both Arsenal and City can offer the teenager the chance to showcase his abilities in Europe, however, if regular first-team football is what McNeil is after, Everton may well be in with a chance of signing the wide man.
