Everton target Diego Costa has been told he can leave Atletico Madrid this summer – but would the Spaniard be a smart signing by the Toffees?
According to the Daily Star, cited by Sportslens, the controversial striker has been told he can leave the La Liga giants ahead of the new campaign.
Everton, West Ham and Wolves are all keen on bringing the former Chelsea striker back to the Premier League, with the powerful forward currently earning £150,000-a-week.

There’s no doubting Costa would be an excellent signing by Marco Silva.
Everton have failed to replace Romelu Lukaku in recent years and have struggled to find a striker who can score 20 goals a season.
Costa, a previous Premier League winner with Chelsea, has all the previous experience needed to star at Goodison Park, and a potential deal would be a statement of intent by the Toffees.
Brazilian giants Flamengo are extremely keen on signing Costa, so if Everton are to secure the striker’s services, they may well have to act fast to avoid disappointment.
