Oumar Niasse looks set to be released at the end of the season, according to reports.
The Senegal international has fallen further down the pecking order with Everton this season, having not yet made the match-day squad for any of the club’s first-team fixtures.
Niasse only made five Premier League appearances last season before joining Cardiff City on loan in January, meaning Niasse was already low down the priority list in Marco Silva’s plans.

Following Moise Kean’s signing in the summer, Niasse moved further away from the first-team, and now looks set to leave for nothing at the end of the season, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Maarten Stekelenburg and Cuco Martina will join the former Lokomotiv Moscow forward in departing for free when their current respective deals run out at the end of the season.
Stekelenburg has been replaced by Jonas Lossl as second choice goalkeeper under Jordan Pickford, while Martina has played exclusively for the Under-23s.

If you look at Niasse’s time as an Everton player with objectivity, it is a miracle that he is even still employed by the club.
He has bailed Everton out of difficult situations before, and he certainly made Ronald Koeman look like a fool, but realistically Niasse doesn’t come close to having the need ability to play for Everton, and better players have been shipped out for doing more than the striker.
That being said, I do really like the guy, and I hope his next career step proves to be more fruitful.
