Former Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton has admitted that he can’t see Marco Silva surviving Everton’s run of fixtures over December.
The former Watford boss has come under significant pressure in recent weeks on Merseyside, and the Toffees’ loss to Norwich last weekend has put Silva on exceptionally thin ice.
While many fans had hoped that Farhad Moshiri would sack Silva, it appears as though he will be given the Leicester game this weekend at least.

However Hutton doesn’t believe that Silva has what it takes to weather the storm in December, with Everton to face Leicester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal in consecutive Premier League fixtures.
Talking about who could be the next Premier League manager to be given the sack, speaking to Football Insider, Hutton said:
In my opinion it’s going to be Silva. I just think one, when your fans are singing: ‘You’re getting sacked in the morning,’ you’re struggling.
Also the run of games that they’ve got, it’s literally unbelievable. It’s Leicester, Liverpool, Chelsea, Man U – I can’t see him getting through that. He might have one more game. The second game is the derby, if that doesn’t go well I can’t see him being in a job.
The fans are in uproar at the moment so for me he’s the next manager to go.”

Hutton isn’t wrong, in that Silva faces a massive uphill battle to hang on to his job with Everton’s fixtures to come.
Any manager would struggle under those circumstances, but with the mood at an all time low under Silva and form in a similarly dreadful position, there isn’t much hope in a winter resurgence for the Blues.
Silva will likely bite the dust at some point in the next month, and Moshiri having not yet found the right replacement is the only reason he keeps his job week to week.
