Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is set to ‘campaign internally’ for the Toffees’ board to secure the signing of Real Madrid playmaker Isco on loan in January.
According to Le10Sport, Ancelotti would ‘greatly appreciate’ the ‘profile’ of Isco, indicating a player of his calibre is strongly desired by the Italian. The report added that Real Madrid are not opposed to letting the Spanish international leave, in a further boost to Everton’s hopes of landing the attacking midfielder.
The playmaker has managed 51 goals and 54 assists since joining from fellow Spanish side Malaga in 2013 for a reported £27m fee, with 313 appearances to date for Los Blancos.
Le10Sport also claimed Real Madrid would actually prefer a permanent deal in the region of €20m (~£18m) but are also open to offloading Isco on a temporary basis on a loan deal. It is not specified whether there is a possibility for a longer-team deal beyond a six-month loan from January until the end of the season.
The article claims that Isco ‘would like it’ at Madrid, presumably indicating his present contentment in the Spanish capital, but his lack of current game-time for Zinedine Zidane’s side means that a move to Ancelotti’s Everton may prove to be an attractive offer.

The latest update should serve as cause for excitement as Everton potentially draw closer to a play who Marca journalist Pablo Polo described as having “a level of control reminiscent of Zidane”.
Real Madrid appear to be increasingly willing to strike any kind of deal as they look to get the playmaker off their books in one form or another. That could be a huge boost for Ancelotti, who appears to be hugely enthusiastic in his desire to bring Isco to Merseyside.
