Former Everton striker Louis Saha has claimed that the Toffees will face an uphill battle to retain the services of Richarlison as “big clubs” will eventually come in for the forward.
The Frenchman has praised the 23-year-old as the club’s best player “by far”, claiming he would not be surprised to see the Brazilian ace move on from Goodison Park.
However, Richarlison has has a modest season far. His only Premier League goal came from the penalty spot in a 2-1 victory away to Crystal Palace, with four in all competitions this term [Transfermarkt].
By comparison, he has managed 13 goals in each of his previous two league campaigns for the Toffees across the reigns of Marco Silva and Carlo Ancelotti.
Speaking to Genting Bet [via Liverpool Echo], Saha made no secret of his expectation that Everton could face a battle to keep the Brazilian at Goodison Park, saying:
Richarlison is the best player at Everton by far. I wouldn’t be surprised if he leaves the club.
Big clubs will look at him. He’s got the skill, the energy. He may need to score more goals but he’s a really top player.

Richarlison has shown that he can be a potent presence for Everton.
It could be argued that he must do more to reach the upper echelons of world football, especially with a low goal return so far this term, although his record explains why Saha feels some “big clubs” could swoop for the 23-year-old.
