Everton have had a tough season this time around with a lack of form and results not always formulating.
Blues manager Carlo Ancelotti has provided some big results at times, however, and is slowly putting his stamp on the squad.
Recent transfers at the start of the campaign have shown some real increases in quality and depth.
Despite this, things still aren’t quite coming together at times for the Toffees.
This weekend saw the club lose their last home game of the season with a 1-0 loss to relegated Sheffield United.
Everton’s record at home this season has been incredibly poor with them losing 9 games at Goodison.
Following the defeat to the Blades, Ancelotti was unhappy with his players commitment during the game.
The Guardian reports that Ancelotti has said players that are unhappy at the club and don’t want to commit can leave…
It is a scathing yet realistic statement from the Italian after the performances of some of the players this season.
There are plenty of individuals int he squad that aren’t committing 100% to Ancelotti and he can see it.
Of course, Ancelotti’s statement does not mean we will see a reshuffle in the squad this summer.
Plenty of players at the club are on very good deals and likely won’t want to give them up.
However, if Ancelotti knows the players that aren’t giving enough, he will no doubt be happy to punish them.
The Italian is trying his best to build something at the club and he will need every player on board to do so.
