Everton fans could endure a nervous wait to see if the club can cash in on on-loan starlet Moise Kean following an update from Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian transfer expert has claimed that Moise Kean’s future is dependent on Paris Saint-Germain’s stance with another forward option in Argentina international Mauro Icardi.
Speaking on his ‘Here We Go’ podcast [19/05/21], the journalist claimed:
“The situation is related to what happens with Mauro Icardi because maybe PSG has to decide about him,” Romano said.
“PSG want to keep Kean and he wants to stay at PSG so they are talking with people close to the player and his agent.
“But the decision with Everton is not easy about the fee.
“Everton are open to sell the player so they are 100% open to negotiate and find an agreement, but they want around €45-50million Euros [£38.8-43.1million].
“So let’s see if PSG find an agreement with Everton.
“But they want Kean, the player is 100% happy in Paris and they have an amazing relationship with Mino Raiola [Kean’s agent]. Kean is one of their priorities after Julian Draxler extending his contract.”
Interestingly, Romano appears to have revised his figure as to how much Everton would look to charge for a permanent Kean deal.
Romano claimed on his much-followed Twitter profile as recently as April that Everton would look to start negotiations at around £43 million – some £5 million less than the latest estimation.

Kean is having to jostle with the £49.5 million-rated Icardi and sometimes Kylian Mbappe in the striking role – a considerable feat given the trophy-laden careers of both players.
Yet Kean cuts a renewed figure in the French capital, with 13 goals in 26 Ligue 1 outings with a further 3 goals in the Champions League.
Although he is far from the star central attacking outlet, his adeptness across the front line and confidence in front of goal has given him a platform in PSG’s colours this season – one that marks a significant departure from his poor Everton form.
If Everton can profit on the £27.5 million they paid Juventus for him, few would turn their nose at such business.
