Former Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti and his son Davide have taken to social media and caused hubbub with Evertonians.
Davide Ancelotti, who served alongside Duncan Ferguson as an assistant manager and senior coach, took to Twitter to thank Everton and its fans for their spell on Merseyside.
“Special Club. Amazing fans. Yank you (sic) EFC. Toffee for ever (sic)”, claimed the former Toffees coach in a Tweet with over 4000 likes.
The 31-year-old is a mainstay of Carlo Ancelotti’s backroom teams.
At the age of 22, the Parma-born man graduated with a degree in Sports Science and has worked in varying capacities with the likes of PSG, Napoli and Bayern Munich before Everton.
Carlo has noted his son’s ‘humble’ personality and voracious desire to learn about tactics of the game.
His open, stoic mind is praised by his father as something that could one day make him a great manager.
A separate Tweet from Carlo Ancelotti’s official Twitter handle shows the ex-Toffees tactician walking through the door at Real Madrid in casual attire, staring straight at the camera.
‘Back to work’, the Tweet read, accompanied with the hashtag #HalaMadrid.

The comments on both posts are laced with disappointment from Evertonians.
Evidently, almost a month on from Ancelotti’s departure, the wounds of the shock exit remain raw.
With Everton still lacking a manager, fans will continue to feel unnerved by the short-term uncertainty surrounding the club.
