Everton receive schedule boost after Premier League confirms two TV fixture changes

Everton’s start to the 2026/27 Premier League campaign has become a little clearer after the Premier League confirmed two fixture changes for live television coverage.

The revised schedule gives David Moyes greater certainty over preparations during a crucial early stage of the season, with supporters also able to plan ahead for two of the club’s opening away fixtures.

The Blues’ trip to Crystal Palace has been moved to Sunday, 6 September (2pm BST), while the visit to Tottenham Hotspur will now take place on Monday, 21 September (8pm BST) after both matches were selected for live broadcast.

While fixture changes can often frustrate travelling supporters, these could offer Everton some subtle advantages.

An extra day before facing Palace provides additional recovery time following the international break, while the Monday night trip to north London also extends preparation time ahead of what is expected to be one of the toughest away games of the opening months.

With Moyes continuing to shape his squad and bedding in new arrivals, every additional training session could prove valuable as Everton look to build momentum early in the campaign.

The fixture changes also underline the growing interest surrounding Everton’s second full season at the Hill Dickinson, with broadcasters selecting multiple Blues matches during the opening weeks of the campaign.

Supporters will ultimately judge the changes by results rather than kick-off times. Still, on paper, the revised schedule offers Everton a slightly kinder schedule as Moyes looks to make a positive start to the new Premier League season.
