Everton are expected to strengthen their academy coaching staff with the appointment of Man United coach Tom Curtis, according to a report.
The Manchester Evening News’ Steven Railston reports that Curtis is set to leave Old Trafford for a role on Merseyside, with Everton continuing to reshape their football department ahead of the new season.
Curtis has built a strong reputation during his time within Manchester United’s academy, where he has worked with a number of the club’s emerging young talents. His expected arrival would represent another addition behind the scenes as Everton continue to invest in player development.
While much of the focus this summer has centred on David Moyes’ first-team squad and activity in the transfer market, the club’s work away from the spotlight remains just as important. Strengthening the academy and ensuring a clear pathway for young players has become an increasing priority as Everton prepare for a new era.
Should the move be completed, Curtis would join an academy structure tasked with developing the next generation of players capable of progressing to the first team.
Neither Everton nor Manchester United has officially confirmed the appointment, but if the report proves accurate, Curtis would become the latest addition to Everton’s backroom set-up as preparations for the 2026-27 campaign continue.
