AC Milan are interested in Everton winger Kevin Mirallas, according to Italian website Calcio Mercato.
The 28-year-old has struggled to nail down a first-team place this season, playing a total of 210 minutes in his seven appearances, with six of them coming from the bench.
Mirallas is understandably frustrated with his current situation as he hopes to impress before Belgium head to the European Championships next summer, and he was recently overlooked by Marc Wilmots for their last two friendlies.
The Belgian has been linked with moves away during the past two transfer windows with but has distanced himself from the rumours. Fellow Premier League side Tottenham were interested in him, but Roberto Martinez refused a move.
Two West Ham bids were also rejected during the summer.
His relationship with Martinez has deteriorated further since his penalty incident in January last season. and has admitted he may have to look for a move away this January.
Everton signed Mirallas from Olympiakos in 2012 for a fee of £6million following an impressive 34 goals in 52 games for the Greek side. During his last season with Olympiakos, 2011/12, his goals helped them to win the league with him finishing as the league’s top scorer with 20.
Appearances have been limited this season with Martinez more often than not opting with Gerard Deulofeu and Arouna Kone. Despite their impressive performances, Mirallas’ exclusion from the starting XI has angered a number of Evertonians.
A move to AC Milan may suit Mirallas as their boss Sinisa Mihajlovic is on the look for some pacy wingers who’ll add creativity and fit into his new 4-4-2 system.
But despite little game time, his price may have increased due to him agreeing on a new deal in August,which runs until 2018.
