According to reports, Carlo Ancelotti is looking to add depth in numbers this summer transfer window.
The Italian has already made his stamp on the current squad, but he isn’t finished just yet.
Spanish journalist Eduardo Inda says Ancelotti is keen on bringing Gareth Bale to Goodison this summer, as cited by Sport Witness.
The Welshman joined the Spanish club in 2013 for £85million with Ancelotti as manager at the time.
The pair built up a great relationship and it is clear that it still stands on the Italians end.
Bale has been on loan at Tottenham this season and has enjoyed a steady return to form with 9 goals in 16 league appearances.
Speaking to El Chiringuito, Inda states that Ancelotti wants him back onside with him at Everton…
A deal for Bale wouldn’t come cheap for the Blues in regards to his wages.
The forward is already on a hefty wage with Madrid and even if he was to take a wage cut it would likely still cost a pretty penny.
However, if a move was to materialise then the perfect example has already been set by James Rodriguez.
The Colombian joined in the summer and has looked back to some of his best football with the Toffees.
Hopefully, the same could be said about Bale if the club managed to pull of a miraculous deal for the winger.
