Andre Gomes admits it is an “honour” for him to be playing for Everton, providing supporters with hope that he could sign a permanent deal.
The Portuguese has been a great addition since joining on loan from Barcelona in the summer, adding quality and dominance to the midfield.
Many Blues fans are desperate to see the 25-year-old make his temporary switch a permanent one, with manager Marco Silva seemingly of the same opinion.
Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, Gomes admits he is in a good place at the moment:

I am feeling really comfortable here.
We are like a family and it is a huge pleasure and honour to be here and playing for this badge.
It is really important when you get good feedback from the supporters, you feel important and it is a good thing personally.
I am one hundred per cent sure [I can enjoy my football at Everton]. That is why I signed for the club.
I arrived injured but still received huge support from the people and I am enjoying every day as an Evertonian.

Gomes struggled for playing time during a disjointed spell at Barcelona, but he looks a content figure this season.
If Everton could nail him down to a long-term deal it would be one of their most significant pieces of business in years.
