Besic set to sign for Middlesbrough in £6m move

Everton midfielder Mo Besic is set to seal a £6m move to Championship side Middlesbrough, according to Sky Sports.

The report claims that Middlesbrough are on the verge of signing Besic on a permanent deal, after previous reports of a loan move for the midfielder.

Besic spent the second half of last season on loan to Middlesbrough in the Championship, impressing in his 17 appearances for the side.

Everton have now sanctioned a move for Besic, after making 56 appearances in four seasons for the club – following his move to the club in 2014.

He has been capped 31 times by Bosnia at international level and will now undergo a medical with Middlesbrough before an official confirmation.

Besic struggled with injuries throughout his time at Everton and will be looking to kickstart his career at Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Everton could be set to replace Besic with Barcelona midfielder Andre Gomes, who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park.
