Everton youngsters John Stones and Luke Garbutt have been included in the England U21 squad for this summer’s European Championships in Czech Republic.
However, teammate Ross Barkley- now a full international- will not feature after successfully graduating to Roy Hodgson’s senior squad.
The Blues duo, who have both excelled for the Goodison outfit in an otherwise difficult campaign, will now meet up with Gareth Southgate’s training party ahead of the tournament, which starts on 15th June.
Hopes are high for Southgate’s highly-rated side after an impressive qualifying campaign saw the young Lions win their group and enter the eight team tournament as top seeds.
The former Middlesbrough man’s charges face Portugal on 18th June before meeting Sweden three days later and finishing against Italy on 24th June.
