Lucas Digne is reportedly close on his switch to Everton, with the Frenchman undergoing a medical at the Toffees according to the Liverpool Echo.
The left-back travelled to Finch Farm today to complete tests before he will be confirmed as an Everton player.
Digne will only be Everton’s second signing of the Summer, with only less than two weeks left for Marco Silva to get some more players in.
The Frenchman, who was on standby for France’s winning World Cup squad, joined Barcelona in 2016 from Lyon for a fee of over £13 million. He has gone on to make over 29 appearances for the Catalan giants, with Everton now his next destination.
The deal to sign Digne is over £20 million, with Everton finally getting their replacement for the aging Leighton Baines, who has suffered with injuries recently.
Digne landed back in Barcelona yesterday after he was given permission to leave Barcelona’s US tour to complete his move to Everton.
