A bit of Déjà vu this one, wasn’t it.
A carbon copy of the Norwich game, but this time, possibly more frustrating. We started a very strong eleven, minus Leighton Baines who missed out from a knock. Another injury concern was Gareth Barry, who was taken off just after half time for Tom Cleverley.
The changes especially today were uninspiring to say the least, as Cleverley proved average and Deulofeu shocking. Valencia didn’t impact the game, besides missing a chance at the death. It just goes to show – again – the incredible lack of quality depth in our squad.
Bournemouth wanted it more than us, similar to Norwich, and they got it through a good strike from Stanislas. It harked back to Martinez days, where we would turn up but forget we had to actually play.
Anyway, here’s the ratings, presuming you haven’t tried to flush the game out already…
