Everton 2-0 West Ham – Player Ratings

That was better.

The game started off very lively, but it was mostly West Ham splitting our defence in two with simple passes. Little did they know that this period would be their first and last good spell of the game, as our front three decided they’d had enough and embarrassed West Ham.

Lukaku netted shortly after the restart after brilliant work from partner in crime Yannick Bolasie. Then, then the best moment of the game came when Lukaku tore away from the West Ham defence to put it on a plate for Ross, who slotted home confidently. We pressed and pressed for a third and were denied a stonewall penalty at the death, it wasn’t meant to be.

Overall, though, the second half may have been the best half from us this season, as every player pulled their weight and then some.

Now, the ratings and my Man of the Match.
