Everton are considering a move for Fernando Llorente, according to ESPN FC.
Sevilla are thought to be willing to let Llorente leave this summer, as he struggled for first-team football last season.
The 31-year-old scored just four league goals and assisted four times in La Liga last season in 23 appearances, albeit nine coming from the bench.
He did, however, feature more frequently for his side in both the Champions league and Europa League. In his combined seven games, he scored seven and assisted once over the two competitions, helping his side to their third consecutive Europa League triumph – a 3-1 win over Liverpool if you’d forgotten.
It’s said Llorente would be interested in a move for first team football, with club’s across Europe considering a move.
Ronald Koeman is looking to improve his side upon last season’s failings with a number of signings, and Llorente could be one.
Romelu Lukaku now looks set to stay, Arouna Kone seemed non-existent during the second half of the season and Oumar Niasse will be looking to prove himself to the new boss. With only the former having proved to Koeman he’s good enough, the Dutchman will be looking to strengthen his forward line.
Also, Shani Tarashaj and Leandro Rodriguez look set to be involved with Everton’s U21’s again next season.
A move for Llorente would make sense after Koeman missed out on Graziano Pelle, who made a big money move to China earlier this week.
