Everton considering Ranieri approach

Everton are interested in making Claudio Ranieri their next manager if they decide to replace Sam Allardyce.

According to France Football, via Sport Witness, Southampton and Everton are both interested in Ranieir.

The Toffees are expected to part ways with Sam Allardyce at the end of the season as they look to push on and forget about this season.

After breaking their club-record transfer multiple times last summer, Everton have failed to compete for a European place and have fallen behind the rest of the chasing pack.

The report claims that Everton and Southampton are both keen on Ranieri and have him on their summer shortlist.

Everton look set to replace Sam Allardyce once the season comes to an end after fan unrest with his management of the team.

Mauricio Pellegrino was sacked by Southampton last month after his poor season at the club, before being replaced by Mark Hughes.

Hughes signed a deal until the end of the season and has lost his first two Premier League matches at the club so far.
