Watford have reportedly rejected a bid of £32million from Everton for midfielder Abdoulaye Doucoure, but would the Frenchman be a good signing for the Toffees?
According to Get French Football News, via RMC, Watford have rejected Everton’s bid of £32million but the Toffees will return with another offer due to Marco Silva’s desire to sign the midfielder.

But would he be a good signing for Everton?

The short answer is yes, he would. Doucoure has been a key figure for Watford in recent seasons, making 92 appearances for the Hornets and impressing with his performances in the middle.
The 26-year-old would add a further physical presence to Everton’s midfield, alongside new signing Jean-Phillipe Gbamin, and the Frenchman also poses an attacking threat with his strong ability on the ball.
Signing the Frenchman would further bolster Everton’s chances of competing for a European spot in the league whilst also having a strong run in the cup competitions.
Though the fee may be set to increase due to the lack of time remaining in the transfer window, completing the signing of Doucoure would be a fine piece of business for the Toffees.
