Everton player ratings: Leicester (H)

I can’t imagine a single person inside Goodison today wanted to be there today. Not the players, not the referees, not the Everton fans, not the Leicester fans. Everyone was tired and that was reflected on the pitch with a genuinely awful first half from both teams. The 45 minutes dragged and dragged and dragged until the half time whistle came as a welcome relief.

The second half was much of the same and the one big chance in the game fell to Leicester after an error from Michael Keane, which was cruel as he had been the standout player in the early periods.

That was quite literally the only chance in the game as Everton’s attack, as it has far too often given the quality in it, fell flat.

I must however give credit to Leicester, as they defended excellently and took their chance well. We couldn’t break them down at all and we only have ourselves to blame.

Over to you, Marcel.

matchday.
