Everton looking at Azmoun

Everton are plotting a summer move for FC Rostov’s Sardar Azmoun, according to Iranian outlet the Tehran Times.

Azmoun, 21, is currently on loan at FC Rostov from parent club Rubin Kazan and has scored six goals in 24 appearances for the Russian outfit this season.

The Iranian international has eight goals in 14 appearances for his country and will be no stranger to Everton’s new major shareholder Farhad Moshiri, who bought 49.9% of the Club last Friday subject to Premier League approval.

Azmoun is highly regarded in his homeland and has been touted as Iran’s version of Lionel Messi.

The young forward has apparently interested some of the major European clubs in the past, with Juventus, AC Milan, Barcelona and Arsenal all reportedly interested in his services.

Azmoun started his career at Iranian football club Sepahan five years ago and moved to Rubin Kazan in 2013.

His strengths are his creativity, acceleration and aerial ability.
