Everton have confirmed the signing of midfielder Andre Gomes from Barcelona, for a fee of £22million.

The Portugal international impressed last season on loan with Everton after moving to Goodison on deadline day, and the midfielder has put pen to paper on a five-year deal with the Toffees.
Gomes made 29 appearances for Everton last season, with his ability on the ball in midfield catching the eye, and the 25-year-old revealed to Everton’s official website that it was an “easy” decision to return to Goodison.
The midfielder becomes Marco Silva’s second signing of the transfer window, with Huddersfield goalkeeper Jonas Lossl set to join the club upon his contract expiry next month.
