Everton v Stoke City – Five things we learned

Going into the first international break of the season Everton looked to continue their good form and solidify their unbeaten status over this international period. Always a tough opposition Stoke fought valiantly but in the end, it was Everton who once again came away with the important 3 points.

A first half full of almosts and a second half full of nerves for any Everton fan over the past 3 years. All around a great team performance and an impressive victory over a team who scored against Everton for fun last year.

Let’s see a few talking points shown throughout the match including the new manager’s end game tactics, a defensive analysis of Ashley Williams, Mason Holgate and Marteen Stekelenburg as well as a breakdown of our attacking options up front with both Ross Barkley and Romelu Lukaku not having their best games in an Everton shirt today.

Let’s begin.

matchday.
