Everton vs Watford – My Eleven

A/N: Just going to use the Holgate picture until he starts.

We should have beaten United. They were a poor team, with little direction and little star quality. Gueye ran the show, but unfortunately, the rest of the team forgot their lines.

There was absolutely no quality in our team. No directness, no sharpness, no confidence, no ambition to take the game to an entirely beatable team. So we did our usual thing of going through the motions until the 80th minute where somebody flicks a switch and the miles per hour go through the roof. We made decent substitutions, and we eventually decided to attack.

That’s not the point, though, we didn’t deserve a point from that game whatsoever. We got ridiculously lucky that Marouane Fellaini came on.

Watford will be a different animal entirely, and we go into the game needing the win. There is no room for another lethargic 90 minutes, what with our favourite game of the season coming up shortly after on the 19th December, and before that, Arsenal, who are always a thorn in our side.

We need three points. That team that started against United won’t get them.

So what changes need to be made? Well, that’s why I’m here.
