Kevin Campbell believes Manchester United goalkeeper would be perfect signing for Everton

The current Premier League season is coming to a close and the summer transfer window is fast approaching.

It is likely that we shall see some new faces makes their way to the blue side of Liverpool.

One name that has been previously linked with a move to Everton has started doing the rounds once again.

In fact, former Everton striker Kevin Campbell believes he would be a perfect signing for Carlo Ancelotti’s men.

In an exclusive with Goodison News, Campbell thinks Manchester United’s Sergio Romero would be a perfect fit.

The Argentian has spent his time at United as second fiddle to David De Gea, but this spot has been disrupted with the return of Dean Henderson.

The young Englishman spent last campaign on loan at Sheffield United and impressed during his time there.

This led to his return as the clubs No.2, which has now even stepped up more as a joint No.1.

Romero has no found himself without regular football and he will likely be looking for a new club in time for the 2022 World Cup.

Having been first choice for his native country, a lack of game time this last year could see him slip down the pecking order.

At 34-years-old, Romero comes with plenty of experience and a fantastic record in goal for United.

During the 2019/20 season, Romero had the most clean sheets and best clean sheet ratio according to Transfermarkt.

With Jordan Pickford’s form this season leaving some to be desired, the club could keep an eye out for a new No.1.
