Lucas Podolski, Gerard Deulofeu and Jordan Ayew have all been linked with moves to Goodison Park in this morning’s papers.
Podolski, 30, could no longer be of service at Arsenal after spending the second half of last season on loan at Inter Milan.
The German had an injury-plagued campaign, resulting in just one goal for Inter during his loan spell.
He has a total of 31 goals in 82 games for the Gunners since his move to England from German club FC Koln in 2012.
He is behind Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mersut Ozil in the Arsenal ranks and could move on to guarantee first team football.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are also reported to be interested in obtaining the striker’s services but reports say he would prefer to stay in England, with the Toffees his preferred destination.
Podolski would no doubt bring quality to the Everton attack, but his history with injuries is a factor that manager Roberto Martinez will need to think long and hard about.
Reports over the weekend said the Toffees could bring back fans’ favourite Gerard Deulofeu to the club for a bargain £3 million pounds.
However the Spanish newspapers’ claim that is not the case and that Everton will need to cough up a little bit more in order to sign the young Barcelona starlet.
Catalan newspaper Ara claimed Barcelona director of football Josep Maria Bartomeu met with Martinez a month ago to discuss the transfer, although no considerable step has been made yet in the proceedings.
The Everton fan base adores Deulofeu after a successful loan spell at Goodison Park two seasons ago, where he scored four goals in 27 appearances.
Finally, Jordan Ayew, the younger brother of recent Swansea signing Andre, is looking for a move to England following a decent season in France with FC Lorient.
The winger scored 12 goals in 29 games and his agent Mark McKay is targeting the Premier League as his clients next move.
“Jordan has age and talent on his side,” he said.
“He’s a versatile forward who is quick and gets goals. I took Diafra Sakho to West Ham last season and I rate Jordan in the same bracket. He can have a big impact in England.”
The 23 year old also conjured up five assists last year for Lorient.
With all three players targeted by Everton being wingers, it is unlikely we will see all three walk through the Goodison door. But with the reports earlier in the summer stating Kevin Mirallas was unsettled due to broken promises, we could see some straight forward in and outs in that position over the next few weeks.
