When the decision was made to relieve Ronald Koeman of his duties at Goodison Park, it was met with a sigh of relief among the Everton faithful.
The air of optimism has sadly diminished in the recent weeks after the caretaker manager David Unsworth oversaw the Blues’ exit from two cup competitions in a week.
Coupled with the very disappointing defeat at the King Power stadium, the knives have been well and truly drawn to the board to find the man to take Everton to steady the ship and get the results we all so much yearned.
We did get the result (and the fight from the team) we craved after a tremendous fightback vs Watford to give Everton a boost ahead of the international break.
