Everton manager Marco Silva has approved the signing of Sporting Lisbon winger Gelson Martins.
According to A Bola, via Sport Witness, Marco Silva has met with Marcel Brands to discuss signings and greenlit moves for two Sporting Lisbon midfielders.
Brands wants to move for Gelson Martins and William Carvalho, with Silva willing to bring both of them in.
The pair are both internationals for Portugal and have impressed in Liga NOS over the past few seasons.

Carvalho was on the verge of a move to West Ham last summer before the deal collapsed on deadline day.
Gelson Martins has also been linked with a number of Premier League clubs, with Everton now seemingly leading the race to sign him.
The report claims that Brands is in talks with the duo’s agents over a potential switch to Goodison.
Everton are yet to make a signing since Marco Silva took over as manager last week.
