Tom Davies won’t leave in January, according to Marco Silva

Everton boss Marco Silva has denied rumours that Tom Davies will leave Goodison Park in January, the Mirror report.

After beginning the campaign as a regular in Silva’s side, Davies has since been left on the bench, with his last Premier League appearance coming back in October against Leicester City.

The 20-year-old originally broke into the first-team picture with the Toffees back in 2016 and the England under-21 international has gone on to make over 70 appearances for the club since then.

However, due to Davies’ exclusion from the starting line-up over recent months, West Ham and Celtic have been reportedly lining up a loan move for the energetic midfielder in January to bolster their midfield options.

When asked if Davies may possibly leave the club on loan next month, Silva immediately denied the suggestions, labelling them as ‘impossible’.

No way. Impossible. No way.

Tom is part of our squad. He is an important player for me and an important player for us as a club. He is the present and the future of our club.

With Silva adamant Davies wont be leaving the club next month, the youngster, who has scored four times in his Everton career so far, may well begin to feature in the starting line-up again over the busy festive period.
