Torino are reportedly looking to bring Muhamed Besic to Turin this transfer window, according to InsideFutbol.
Besic has struggled for minutes this season, only featuring in two Premier League games, but mainly being used in the League Cup or the Europa League, which didn’t go too well for the Toffees.
He was transferred to Everton in 2014 from Ferencvaros, and started well, but over the last two years he hasn’t played much at all.
Since the arrival of Sam Allardyce, Besic has only featured once, in the 3-0 win away at Apollon. Apart from that, he has not even been on the bench under Allardyce’s reign at Goodison Park.
Besic is not in Allardyce’s plans for Everton and so he is keen to see the Bosnian leave Merseyside during this transfer window.
Torino are willing to offer the 25-year-old minutes, which is what he needs and isn’t getting at Everton, where he has a contract until 2021.
He will join the list of players to leave already this transfer window, which include Kevin Mirallas on loan to Olympiakos and Ross Barkley’s move to Chelsea.
So Besic may be going to Italy this month, and may not look back on his time in Merseyside with too much fondness after his struggle to get into the first team under Koeman and now Allardyce. But what is to be seen is who Allardyce sees as his replacement this transfer window.
