Everton complete permanent signing of Tyrique George from Chelsea

Everton have completed the permanent signing of winger Tyrique George from Chelsea ahead of the 2026-27 Premier League season.

The 20-year-old returns to Merseyside after spending the second half of last season on loan at the club, where he made 11 appearances following his arrival during the January transfer window.

George became a regular member of David Moyes’ matchday squad as Everton secured a top-half finish in their first season at Hill Dickinson Stadium, with the Blues moving quickly to secure his long-term future this summer.

A product of Chelsea’s academy, George joined the London club as a youngster and progressed through the youth ranks before making his senior breakthrough. He featured in the Premier League and European competition before gaining further first-team experience during his loan spell with Everton.

The winger has also represented England at youth level, earning recognition with the Under-21s after progressing through the national team’s development pathway.

George is capable of playing on either wing and across the forward line, giving Moyes additional attacking options as Everton continue to reshape their squad ahead of the new campaign.

The move represents another piece of Everton’s summer recruitment as preparations continue for the club’s second season at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

George is expected to link up with his new team-mates immediately as pre-season training continues, with Everton stepping up preparations for the start of the Premier League campaign.

The signing follows a busy start to the summer for Moyes as he looks to build on the progress made last season and strengthen his squad ahead of another campaign in the top flight.
