After a week of major disappointment last week, it’s time to re-focus for our first Friday-night game of the season.
It feels like we’re being a bit spoiled with ‘night’ games, whereas usually the special ones were reserved for a cup Quarter or Semi final, or a crucial midweek tie against one of the elite teams. However, it seems more and more games are being scheduled at later times.
Anyway. Palace.
We’ve always struggled with Palace, especially at our place. The capitulation of 13/14 comes to mind when a win vs a struggling Palace team may well have kicked us and powered us to that elusive 4th placed finish. Instead, we slumped to a defeat and an eventual 5th place finish.
Ironically enough, we’re in 5th again this weekend, and we need a win.
